Day 1

My starting weight is 257. I should weigh around 130-150 for my height. So I'm going to set a short term goal. It is February 10th. By the end of February in 2 and a half weeks. I want to weigh 250. I think this is a good starter goal. Don't want to go too crazy. If I lose more, then I lose more and good for me :)
I also have some anxiety issues that have been worse recently. I have a thyroid imbalance due to me being overweight, which my Dr said should right itself with weight loss since I am still young.


If you're like me and think negative thoughts and let your mind dwell on bad things and the "what ifs" then I would suggest humming a little tune. Humming is a very good breathing exercise that most people don't think about. Mine is very simple. It's just: Think Positive, Relax and Breathe! hummed to a little tune I made up. I hum it and think the words with it and I feel better :) I am also going to be painting little "decorative signs" with those words on them to put around my house. That way, no matter where I go, I see those words and remember them.

I am also a perfectionist. I need to remember that no one is perfect including myself. Everything I do should be seen as an accomplishment and not nit picked over about what I could have done better.

I will keep these things in mind today and reread over them if necessary. Weight and anxiety will not own me. I will own them.
